Looking at the world through a Two-Spirit Michif lens
An experienced educator and researcher, specializing in Indigenous education, curriculum development, academic research, course design, lesson planning, and public speaking.

A passion for Métis education and Indigenous inclusion in classrooms
My skills and specialties include lesson and unit plan development, curriculum enhancement, writing and research projects, and student engagement.
Who I am
I am a Two-Spirit Métis woman (citizen of the Manitoba Métis Federation) and educator from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am passionate about bringing authentic Indigenous voices to curricula and to the classroom, and empowering students to do their best in their own education.
What I do
I have been an educator for over ten years, and I have pursued higher education in order to better serve the students and educators in my community.
Who I teach
I have varied and deep experiences with all areas of education, from classroom teaching and instructing at the university level, to writing curricula for provincial education ministries and publishing multiple sets of unit and lesson plans.
Speaking
I have given presentations, workshops, and keynote addresses to small and large businesses, government branches, mentorship programs, and universities across the country.
Writing
I also love writing, as well as editing and coaching students in to finding their own writing voice. I co-edit two academic journals, and facilitate publication opportunities for emerging to experienced scholars.
